Red Mulberry

Our native red mulberry puts it’s white mulberry cousin to shame with larger sweeter fruit that is the star in jams, jellies and wine.

These trees are uncommon and listed as a species at risk in Ontario. They readily hybridize with white mulberry and are slowly being bred out of existence. 

So do your part and bake a pie with red mulberry and support our native super star.
